Ivory Coast forward on health

Ivory Coast forward on health – From December 9th to 12th, the Ivorian Rugby Union with the support of Rugby Africa and World Rugby organised 3 training on medical. The health of the player is indeed the preoccupation number one of the union.

The aim : help the doctor, the educator and the first-aid worker for a good care of the players in case of emergency.

These trainings were supervised by Brian Carlin from World Rugby and lead by the Manager of the Medical Commission in Rugby Africa – Dr Madani Fall from Senegal, Dr Imed Mrabet from Tunisia and Dr Elvis Tano, Ivorian Rugby Union’s chairman. All these people were with Adama Bakhoum, Training Manager at Rugby Africa and Charles Yapo, Regional Development Officer at Rugby Africa.

On 13 intern for level 2, 8 get their diploma. Concerning the educators, 14 on 10 play their cards right and finally, for the first-aid workshop, on 28 intern, 18 did it hands down

The new General Secretary of the Burkinabe Rugby Union, doctor in specialization in Ivory Coast also participated to this training and shared his experience with the team.

These trainings were organized in the hotel : la Nouvelle Pergola, in Abidjan. All went very well and showed the will of the union to highlight the health of the players, as World Rugby and Rugby Africa recommended.
