The second tournament of the 1st division of Rugby Africa competitions is the Rugby Africa Silver Cup. The Tournament is composed by 6 teams with an annual relegation of one team, replaced by the Winner of the Rugby Africa Bronze Cup. The Winner of the Silver Cup 2018 will be promoted to the Rugby Africa Gold Cup 2019. The first teams of each pool will compete a final match to determine the winner of the tournament.
The tournament of the Rugby Africa Silver Cup 2018 will be played by the teams of Botswana, Icory Coast, Madagascar, Algeria, Senegal and Zambia. Three matches will be played for each pool (North and South), the 8th of July, the 11th of July and the 14th of July 2018, then the final will be played the 25th of August 2018.
Pool North in XXX: Algeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast
Pool South in Botswana: Botswana, Zambia, Madagascar
- Victory: 4 points + 1 bonus point for winning by three tries or more
- Draw: 2 points
- Loss: 0 point + 1 bonus point for losing by 7 points or less
- If a team refuses to play or abandons a match or was expelled from the tournament, its opponent will be declared the winner of the match opposing both teams (unless different decision made by Rugby Africa) and will received 4 points (+20 points scored)
