The U20 Barthés Trophy is the only Rugby Africa junior tournament. The tournament is composed of 8 teams. 8 matches will be played among 2 days between the 28th and the 31st of March 2018.
The 2018 U20 Barthés Trophy will be composed of two pools. The North Pool gathers Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Senegal. The South Pool gathers Namibia, Kenya, Madagascar and Zimbabwe. There will be 4 matches per pool.
- The winner of both tournaments North and South will be appointed at the end of the competition according to all results, from points won to disciplinary reports.
- The last team ranked will be relegated to let its place in 2019 to a new team which will be selected by application and evaluation of the level of development of the union by our RDO and RTM.
- If a team refuses to play, or abandons the match or is being expelled from the match, its opponent will be declared winner of the said match and will be awarded unless otherwise decided by RA four points.
